Pterosaurs

Pterosaurs, the flying dinosaur lived during the mesozoic era we some the earliest vertebrates known to have evolved powered flight. Here's some quick info on Pterosaurs. These dinosaurs were smaller, had full tooth jaws and usually long tails.

Word Origin	Pterosaurus is a combination of the Greek words pteron and saurus, meaning "winged lizard".

Era	Mesozic era from the late triassic period to the end of cretaceous period.

Phylum	Chordata
Types	Basal Pterosaurs were smaller with fully toothed jaws and long tails. Pterodactyloids had narrower wings with free hind limbs and smaller tails.
Size	Smallest wingspan less than 10 inches (25 cm) Largest wingspan 33-36 feet (10-11m)
